Racism and Evolution: The Anthropometry and Inferiority of Women in 20th-Century Science

Abstract

The measuring of the human skull, called craniometry, was exploited in the last century to prove that women had smaller brains compared to men in an attempt to support the notion that they were less-evolved than men. As a result, women were also believed to be less intelligent and inferior to men in other ways. This view, inspired by Charles Darwin, was widely accepted in academia, including by many of Darwin’s leading disciples. It also had a profound negative effect on women’s progress, especially educationally, socially, and economically.

Myths About the Church, Creationism, and Nazi Germany Demolished

Many false myths exist about the creation worldview that creationists have attempted to overcome. Unfortunately, myths die hard, if they die at all. One of the most widely believed false myths is that the Church taught that the world was flat, which caused the Catholic Columbus to fear that he would fall off of the Earth’s edge if he sailed too far West. In fact, Columbus knew the earth was not flat and even estimated the distance from the Canary Islands to Japan was 2,800 miles. He turned out to be wrong about this fact. We know that it was actually closer to 14,000 miles. On his way to the East, Columbus bumped into America, which he thought was India, thus he called the people there Indians, the name that stuck.

Where Does Morality Come From?

Can evolutionary thinking really explain the foundation for morality? Is morality just a form of behavior? According to biological interpretation morality is addressed solidly as a form of behavior and those behaviors are divided up into other behaviors. These behaviors include foraging, mating and nesting, play, grooming, securing territory, and other group interactions. According to biologists, nonhuman species may exhibit behavioral stages of evolutionary development concerning morality. Making morality as a form of behavior makes it possible to observe the development of morality in other species. It would not be known if the behavior is genetic in nature or environmental.

My Response to the So-Called RationalWiki

The so-called RationalWiki is an attempt to produce a Wikipedia based on “Rationalism,” a term that some atheists prefer because it avoids the negative stigma associated with the term “atheism.” I once accepted the so-called rational worldview and was very active in this movement. One reason I left the so-called Rational Movement was because of their appallingly irresponsible scholarship used to attack Christians and creationists of all stripes. The example reviewed in this article is from a post on the RationalWiki website entitled “Jerry Bergman.” 1

Discrimination Against Creationists in a Bioinformatics Lab

To the TASC reader: The following Letter to the Editor was submitted by Jerry Bergman, a colleague of the anonymous writer of the letter. The Case of JENNIFER REINOEHL et al v. PENN-HARRIS-MADISON SCHOOLS

All of the claimed evidence for evolution, as defined in this paper, has been disproved by the peer reviewed literature including the fossil record  1 and the useless organs  2 and poor design claims.  3 The three pillars, abiogenesis, natural selection and mutations  4 have likewise been refuted as have the other major pillars including the taxonomy claim, homology, arguments against irreducible complexity, pseudogenes and endosymbiosis.  5

The books noted above are typical of the books on science for young people and irresponsibly indoctrinate young people to accept the secular worldview of atheistic evolution. All the evolutionary examples used in the books reviewed above are very problematic: the claims made have long ago been rejected by research, even by many evolutionists. ...

Weather Equilibrium and Climate Change

We are not aware of how advanced the antediluvians were with meteorological sciences or how high the civilization reached technologically. We find many fascinating objects buried in coal that are believed to come from that period. It is considered that the first attempts to predict the weather were around 650 BC in the Babylon Empire. By the third century BC the Chinese had developed “a meteorological calendar that divided the year into twenty-four festivals, each dedicated to a different meteorological situation.”

A Creationist Response to Race and Racism

The tragic and senseless death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020 has seemingly changed American society forever. The explosion of race-related discussions, dialogues, debates, and demands along with protests, counter-protests, statue-topplings, and riots are all evidence of this fact. “Race” and “racism” have become two of the most charged words in the English language today, not only in this nation but across the globe as reverberations of the event in Minneapolis have literally been felt worldwide. These events in the larger culture naturally impact the church as well and demand an appropriate Christian and biblical response.
