We will have a special guest for March! David Rogers, BS, BS, BS, BA, MSEE (friend of Students Investigating First Things [SIFT]) will present An Infinite Multiverse of Big Bangs or a Created Universe: an Introduction to Cosmology Today. David has degrees in physics, chemistry, math, mechanical engineering, and electrical engineering from North Carolina State University. From David: “We will begin with a brief introduction to cosmology and to the most widely accepted cosmological theory, the Big Bang theory. After a brief discussion of the history of the theory and evidence that led to its widespread acceptance, we will discuss the challenges that the theory currently faces. We will examine the evidence for dark matter, dark energy, an early inflationary period in the universe, as well as some of the modern multiverse theories, and even attempts to use a quantum theory of gravity to explain an infinite or self-creating universe. Finally there will be a brief examination of alternative cosmological theories proposed by scientists who hold to a Biblical worldview. The information will be presented in a way that does not assume prior exposure to cosmology or an in-depth knowledge of physics.”

After the main talk, Mark Stephens, committee chairman for Restoring The Truth About Origins: Book I, will give a brief, but exciting and informative launch announcement for Book I. It will include

  1. a free copy of Book I (retails for $29.99) for the person who brings the most guests and
  2. a drawing (which includes all our attendees) for a free book, and
  3. those who have already purchased Book I from by the time of the meeting will be included in a drawing for a special, nice high-dollar-value prize as well!

So, everyone, please make extra effort to come out and bring guests including your children (10 and older) to help share important information with your friends and neighbors!
